Promotional poster and logo design for UK-based vape juice startup, 'Hippie Juice'.
The logo came first, with the client asking for a lighter approach, balancing vintage aesthetic with a modern feel. I leaned heavily into the juice aspect of the name, taking a lot of influence in the labels you would find on OJ when I was a child. The colour palette came naturally with the design, and the smooth gradients and crisp lines helped to keep the modern aspect.
The promotional poster was a lot of fun. It started as every design always does, with a 1 inch squared thumbnail drawn on scrap paper. The idea of the hippie being 'high' is something that I kept coming back to, but I wanted to push that idea without any negative moral or legal implications that could reflect on the brand. This toed the idea while keeping everything a little tongue in cheek and on-brand.
