A logo design and branding focus for The Old Dough Hook Pizza Co., a UK based food service that cater from a refurbished Citroen H van stuffed with a 1 tonne stone-bake pizza oven.
The brief was clear about the old-school influence, having a 'reliably British' feel, and the necessary inclusion of the dough hook design element.
I worked very closely with the client during the idea generation phase, going through three rounds of refinement to get a result that he loved. The color decisions for the business were easy, with the deep maroon bringing a level of sophistication and indicating British identity (just take a look at the old UK passports...)
For this project, I supplied the logo with variations, a branding design package including color swatches, usage and typeface specifications, and designed the van vinyl decals in line with the vehicle dimensions to be printed and applied to all sides of the carriage.
The brand was also featured on British rally cars as an official sponsor.
